Lovebug Valentine's Day Card

My son's school is celebrating Valentine's Day today and we had to work on a card to hand out to his friends. He loved helping me out to make these adorable "Lovebug Cards". I thought this was so easy to make and you could even use it for a Ladybug theme birthday invitations, or thank you notes. Instead of using the dots, I replaced them with little hearts to make them Valentine's theme. I am sure his little friends will love them!

This was super easy to make!

My top 3 laundry tips

I simply love my HE Front Loader Washer. It uses so much less water and does such a great job. My clothes are clean and fresh. However, there are lots of people out there that are not happy with their front loader washer. The top complain I hear is the moldy smell it gets in between washes. I have own one, exactly like the picture above, for 3 1/2 years and I have never, ever dealt with such smell. My trick? Always leave the door open when not in use. However, since my boys got bigger, we got to use the basement more often to play, and that's where my laundry room is. Afraid that they will do some crazy stuff there, besides leaving the room's door shut, I close the washer as well. Still, no moldy or funky smell there. I believe the secret to it is on Tip 1.

Laundry is no easy task when you have kids. My boys make so much mess while eating that not even a whole body bib would help to keep their clothes without a stain! And going green is my theme! So, here I want to share with you all my 3 laundry tips.

Although I use HE Front Loader Washer, these tips are for any type of washer.

Easy and Healthier Banana Muffins

My boys love these banana muffins. And best of all they are so easy to prepare that even my 4 yr old loves to help me to make them! They are healthier, moist and delicious!!

As a mom, I am always trying to make their favorite dishes as healthier as I can and "nana muffins" as my younger one calls them are no different. I manage to change up a little bit of Giada's Recipe to make a little healthier without sacrificing their flavor or texture.

Parmesan Breadtwists

So, I am taking a break on my posts about kids activities because I made these A-MA-ZING parmesan bread twist that I had to share with you. For you, yeast-phobiac friends, I have taken pictures of every step, so if you want to be adventurous and try this recipe I promise you won't regret!

Now, when we talk about yeast, a lot of people are afraid to even finish reading a recipe, just because they think it's complicated. If you have never, ever used yeast before, I just gotta say that you are missing out some great homemade bread for no reason whatsoever!  Seriously, there is nothing complicated or difficult about yeast.

We have two types of yeast: Fresh and Dry. I have used both, but prefer to use the dry one because I always have on hand, simply because it last longer. I personally buy my dry yeast in bulk, at my wholesale store. It comes 2 packs of 1lb each. Yes, I do make a lot of bread at home... Just because it's easy, I know what's in it and fresh baked bread is yummier!

Ice Cream Letter Match - with a free download!

Lately, I have been working letters and handwriting with my son. He is pretty good with the upper case, however having difficulty with the lower case. To make learning easy and more fun, I went to Pinterest in search of some inspiration.

Found this: ABC Scoops and thought it was a great idea! I went to google the images, but came back empty handed, so had to make one myself. It took a while, since I am not a pro in making illustrations, and I liked how it came out. Son loved the surprise and was eager to find the matches!
